Discourse [discursus 'conversation', 'treatise', 'reasoning'], in a broader sense: the process of any interaction between people; in a narrower sense: a form of thought expressible through language, aimed at seeking truth indirectly through acts of intellectual cognition.
DAC’s activities focus on redefining the concept of "art," which, according to our idea, is an elusive quality, mysteriously inherent in certain works. We believe that each piece of art, by showcasing its qualities, encourages the initiation of dialogue and discourse. By building a collection of contemporary art from artists around the world, we create a platform for completely free artistic expression and pursue the idea of fascination with collecting, bringing these values closer to a wider audience.
Our attention is focused on examining what art can be, liberating it from the constraints of beauty and craftsmanship. We follow a conceptually intriguing path. We do not limit ourselves to a single medium or nationality. Constantly searching for analogies between works, we provide space for their mutual interaction while enriching them with new contexts and interpretations.
Appreciating contemporary artworks, we go beyond the aesthetic experience of the object itself and delve into the world we have been invited into, bearing in mind that the most distinctive and irreplaceable feature of art is its ability to evoke feelings of unease and destabilization. We explore what is peculiar, extraordinary, and engaging. Granting full freedom of expression (discourse) to artists, we interpret the works, and consequently the entire collection, as a mirror of the creators' experiences.
Each piece in the collection enriches with new visual and spiritual experiences. It provokes, astonishes, and lingers in memory.
